Only top 15 contestants are allowed at the Finals in every class but the Open 5D and Beginner Barrels (8 & U/Special Needs).  If some don't qualify for finals, or choose not to enter a class, anyone below them will move up.  Finalists should enter the Open 5D if they do not move into top 15.  Enter the class you would like to ride, just in case others don't enter.  If you do not qualify, your entry fee for that class will be refunded at the finals.  We will NOT contact the next in line to fill a class. Members only need to enter 8 shows, in any class.  Please do not go by the number of shows listed in the class member standings.  We use the Finalist Summary number of shows for qualification and Perfect Attendance Extra Mile.  A total of 13 shows is needed for perfect attendance.  Everyone is encouraged to enter the Open 5D Barrels at the finals.  There will be $1,500 added money for the weekend along with top 5 average awards in every division.
Our 2017 Finals are one for the record books!  We had 151 finalists compete over the weekend of November 11-12, 2017 at Acadiana Fairgrounds SugArena in New Iberia, LA.  Over $140,000 in cash and awards were distributed.  Katti Breaux started out the weekend with a short clinic before our 1st go round on Saturday.  Special thanks to Danny Fitch for cooking our gumbo for Saturday evening and all those that contributed potato salad or dessert.  We had plenty!  Both our silent and live auctions were a success.  Addison Krieg, Pam Denais and Tyler & Bailey Falcon donated the 3 items bringing in the highest bids.  The 339 Feed Raffle was won by Phillip Joubert.  Many classes were a fight down to the final average points and we congratulate all of our year-end winners.  Fastest barrel time for the finals was a 15.647 run by Katti Breaux on Wimpys Haida.  Fastest pole time was a 20.788 run by Shari Dartez on Bayou Cowboy Amour.   Complete results and year-end standings are posted.  Check out our full color finals program online and thank all that have supported the association.    David Leadingham was our photographer.  He will have pictures posted online soon.  Our 2018 Schedule is posted.  Make plans to join us.
